Today I have an outfit of the day post for you all!  A velvet bodycon skirt teamed with a contrasting Aztec print blouse. If you read my blog you would have probably noticed that this blouse and skirt were featured in my January Sales Edit and I picked them both up at bargain prices. Firstly, this skirt was one of my best sales buys; it is now a statement wardrobe piece for me! You can never have too many bodycon skirts as they go with practically everything from shirts/blouses to cropped jumpers. I love this one from Forever 21; the high waist fit is great and flattering in all the right places. I opted for a black one because I feel it’s a very versatile choice. You could team it with colour block tops or like I have here, with a statement print blouse. I can see myself wearing this skirt well into the spring by teaming it with pastel colours; I think it would look perfect with a nice pastel blue cropped knit jumper.

My blouse is from New Look, it’s quite a big fit on me because it was the last one left but I plan on wearing it open over a tank top like seen in the pictures. What attracted me to this blouse was the print, it really caught my eye on the rail and I just couldn’t say no! I had to buy it! It’s quite sheer so it will be perfect for the Spring/Summer season and for now you could equally team it with a nice oversized boyfriend style cardigan or blazer on chilly days. My necklace was a Christmas present, I love it so much, I think it’s really different! I have featured it here before if you want to see how it goes with a completely different look.
